EMI Releases Official Olympic Albums EMI Music on Monday released three albums for the upcoming Olympic Games in Athens. Unity, the official pop album, PHOS, the official Greek album, and the classical album Harmony are the only official Athens Olympics albums. They feature some of EMI's finest artists performing their best-loved classical and crossover music, including Vanessa Mae, Placido Domingo and Sting. "EMI is privileged to be involved with the Athens Olympic Gamesand, through the involvement of the artists on the record, to embrace the Olympic values of peace and unity. This is a unique record for what is the greatest of sporting occassions," said David Munns, vice president of EMI Music. EMI Music will make a donation to UNICEF's work with young people, with a minimum of US$180,000 guaranteed for HIV/AIDS program in sub-Saharan Africa. Ref. no: 130705 -- Back |
